Our taijitu is a perfect example of the perfect balance of two energies, Yin and Yang. Crafted with 7 layers of poplar plywood, this piece of art is a carefully designed representation of the concept of duality forming a whole. The black and white colors represent two opposite forces which are interconnected, interdependent and inseparable. With its timeless design, this art piece is a great addition to any home and a perfect reminder of the importance of balance and harmony.

This piece was originally inspired by the above and from seeing a client who was suffering from Multiple Sclerosis. Despite being wheelchair bound, and needing assistance with all daily task, what may seem like a nightmare for most of us, this person never complained and saw the beauty in every moment.
I wanted to create a piece which shows exactly that, an incomplete beautiful side and an incomplete bland or ugly side. A side made with hardship and a side made from ease. Yet, on either side, there is a reflection of the other. A piece to show, the good in the bad and bad in the good.

Made from 7 layers of plywood, all intricately cut and fused with perspectively symmetrical floral patterns and covered with a 8mm thich tempered glass to protect the design and allow practical use.
As it should be noted that as an artist proof, the colour and finish may vary from the image displayed and there may be minor defects and the back may not be finished.
